Confused on what LPN school to attend. Help.

So I am utterly confused on what school to attend, who is accredited, who isnt, what school is good, and so on.

I wanted to go to Lincoln Tech but I heard so many negative things about this school, then I decided to go to Dover but again I heard some scary things that have really made me unsure about where to go. I know there are so many schools to choose from but I need to know legitimate schools in Passaic/Bergen county area, a school that will be worth me going to. Does anyone have any advice or incite on any schools? Thanks in advance for your help!

I've decided that I'm definitely going to attend MCVTS in the fall. Very excited!

I've already taken Anatomy and physiology, microbiology, psychology, sociology.. Do you know if it'll be possible for me not to have to take these classes or is it a strict program?

Nice, congrats! Are you doing the day or evening program?

Regarding your previous classes, you would have to speak to the program coordinator directly. You may be able to skip a&p and/or micro, but don't hold me to that. They may require you to take the classes from this program exclusively. I'm sure you'll get a chance to speak to her during orientation...

Im doing the day program.

What's your daily schedule like? The anticipation and lack of information they give us prior to the first info meeting is killing me haha

Hi, I'm just wondering- is the LPN day program hard to get into? my high school transcripts are horrible and I'm not sure if they take this into consideration. I havent taken the entrance exam yet but I think I'll get at least something in the 80's. Has anyone been rejected after applying?

Thanks!

It's not that difficult. Basic math and English. Some people that haven't been in school for a while did find it hard and even had to take it twice, but still got into the program.

Thanks! I just took the test yesterday and i think i did ok. I heard they accept pretty much everyone who passes the test. Anyone know if this is true? Im afraid that even if i pass i wont be accepted. :(

Hey, nurses! i have graduated from MCVTS in Piscataway, nj and now i'm thinking about bridge program. so, the question is, will courses from MCVTS counted as prereqs or i should take it all over again in college or something?

Jag815, I'm reeeaaly late to this post, but I'm hoping this message finds you well. Can you tell me please If you had a hard time finding a job being that this program isn't accredited? Please any info you can provide is greatly appreciated as im set to start in February. Thanks

Hey,

I realize this post is old but I thought I'd see if anyone in this thread had any info to share about what it was like after graduation. Did you find employment? where are you working? I've applied and am now scheduled to take the TEAS in 3 weeks.
