I am from a suburb right outside chicago (oak lawn). I am thinking about returning to school for nursing. I am 33 years old and have been a stay at home mom for the past 7 years. I have looked into every school around, because money and time is a huge factor for me. I just read a post about Loyola and it mentioned the program is only 12.5 months?!? Can someone explain to me...is that a nursing program that is only a year long, or is it a RN to BSN?
thanks:nuke:

I don't know for sure, but my guess it that is the accelerated program for students who already have a bachelors degree in a non-nursing area. Have you found that program on their website?

Like the PP said it is an accelerated program for students who already have a bachelor's degree in another area. It is 12.5 months but is intense, 5 days a week 8am-5pm.
Oh darn...I though I was on to something! I was thinking, wow, 12.5 months, I can do that! But i only have an Associates degree, so I will just go to the community college at try for an associates in nursing. Thanks for the reply and for clearing it up for me. I did go onto Loyola's website last night to check it out, but for some reason could not access the nursing program page, so thanks a bunch!!!:nuke:
