hey y'all, i am 21 years old and i have a major decision to make...i have others in family what they think but no one is giving any good advice. i have two choices and i am so confused about which way i should go. the choices are i can go to hccs lvn program and be done in one year or in one year i could have my preqs done and apply to a major university and get my bsn. i have no i idea which to choose but the deadline is oct. 1 for the lvn program. any advice is welcomed and needed.

Well, it depends on your situation. If you have the time I would say go for the BSN. I started as an LVN and now am an RN, I am going back to school to hopefully get my MSN. I hope this helps. Good luck.

I suppose it would depend on your grades up until now. I would definitely recommend the ADN or BSN route if it's possible, but it really depends on whether you'll be able to have a place to live, etc., while attending school. If you decide later to transition to a BSN from LVN, you're going to have to take all the classes anyways, but may have a less flexible work schedule to allow that. On the other hand, if you HATE being in school, then I would just go straight to the LVN, which would get you working sooner.
