Same here. Mohawk is also my first choice but they are taking forever to issue out offers. I have decided to stick to Conestoga for now. I'm from high school.

Im still unsure what ill do if and when i get an offer from mohawk. Im having to drive to Conestoga feom hamilton which isnt too bad but id rather not have to drive. It will add up fast.

Hi Canadianmamma, I'm in a similar situation where I live in Guelph and am debating if it will even make sense to drive to Mohawk (if I get in). Even Conestoga isn't that much closer when I factor in the logistics of getting my kids to and from childcare/school and winter driving, nevermind where placements might be. I've been thinking I'd rather relocate to live nearby the campus - less time driving, more time studying or being with my family. :)

I know so many factors. Im thinking big picture. I have been a working psw for 15+ years so the end goal is RN and by having summers off in the Conestoga program i feel i wont get the burnout and stop after i graduate RPN.

That's definitely a difference to consider between Conestoga and Mohawk. The advantage to the consecutive semesters is that you get it done faster but yes, burnout...especially with kids so they can have time in their summers off to vacation with you, etc. I'm leaning towards Mohawk to be done quicker, I think, and then maybe just take my job search at a casual pace throughout that summer after graduating. But I've also applied to two other colleges for a May start so I may not get that summer option anyway.

So many decisions lol. Im gunna stick with Conestoga. My classmate from pre health just got in there so now i have a carpool buddy. Look forward to meeting everyone in jan!

You def need a buddy. School gets tough. Prehealth was stressful but having a buddy or 2 or even 3 helps. Team work makes the dream work
