Hi everyone! I thought I would create a thread for Concordia University's ABSN program for Summer 2019!

Got my letter as well!

Does anybody have any information about financial aid? Will it primarily be loans?

@Katelyn Peters maybe wait it out, don't lose hope! I didn't get mine right away. They have roughly 60 to send out and the email came with a lot of attachments.

I haven't heard anything either but I interviewed in the last group on Saturday. Not sure if that has to do with anything. When did you all interview?

Hi everyone congrats to those that got accepted! I have been placed on the waitlist and I was wondering on your emails, what is the last date to secure your spot? Just so I have an idea of when they might call for people on the waitlist. Thanks!

During the interview orientation, they said accepted applicants have 24 hours to notify school and turn in $500 deposit. If they don't hear a response, they'll attempt to contact the applicant 3 times (2 calls, 1 email). If no further response, they will consider it a decline. After the last acceptances go out, the waitlist should be notified within a week of their final decision. They said the first round should hear back by April 2nd, so i'm assuming the waitlist should hear back a week after. And of course they noted that all the dates were tentative. Hope this helps!

In the acceptance email attachment they sent this morning, it actually said that we have until April 8th to turn in the deposit. So I'm assuming waitlisted applicants will probably hear back at around that date!

Congrats to everyone who has been accepted and goodluck to those still waitlisted ? I will be giving up my seat as part of the cohort and have accepted a different program, so that frees up a spot for someone else. Cheers to the next generation of new nurses ;)
