Hello! I have applied to CUI's ABSN program for Summer 2017 and want to see if there are any other potential applicants and if anyone have heard back about interviews yet. Also, I would love to hear about current/past/potential student's thoughts and feedback on the program.
Thanks!
There is no textbook way to prepare for this interview. I say, just be honest and genuine. The interviewers are very kind, knowledgeable, and they all want to get to know each person better. They aren't trying to trick you. I was on my toes the entire interview, it was such an amazing and fun experience. ( Fun because it was challenging, but doable)

The essay was timed and we had 45 minutes and they provide the paper that needs to be used so you can just come with a pen.
And as far as interview questions go, they emphasize that we don't share exact questions asked to be fair for everyone but I will say that there were few traditional typical interview questions and more of critical thinking and scenario-based questions. Aka why I don't think you can really prepare for it. It seemed like they honestly just wanted to see your personality in your answers and not necessarily to check if you were saying the "correct" thing. I can't speak for everyone but I didn't get questions like "why concordia?". Definitely know why you want to pursue Nursing and have a strong idea about what it means to be a nurse to you, then almost all questions should come with ease!
I did look at old threads of Concordia ABSN 2014-2016 to see few examples of interview questions people had shared after everyone had interviewed, so I would look at those too if you are really nervous.
and it was one of the best interviews I had, ALL because it really didn't feel like I was being judged and being compared to, which was surprising because it IS a group interview and they are technically judging and picking who they want, but the whole process felt like I was there to meet faculty and make friends :)
its great to meet other people just as passionate and excited to begin their nursing journey
