Hey everyone!
I thought I'd start a thread for those of us applying to Concordia for the upcoming fall semester. Previous classes have had really active threads in this forum, and I'd love to meet some of my potential (fingers crossed!) new classmates. I just had my interview, so now I'm in the checking-my-mailbox-everyday phase of the application process
How is everyone feeling? Have you applied anywhere else? Was anyone else surprised by the TEAS requirement?
Hope to hear from you!
Congratulations, copelam5280! I am attending and have sent in my deposit, now I'm just waiting to see what's next. I'm also looking to move closer to the school - my interviewer mentioned that they do offer on-campus housing that caters specifically to absn and master's program students. Have you heard anything about it? I will probably end up getting an apt but the convenience of on-campus housing certainly has its appeal!
Anyway, you are the first person Ive heard from that will definitely be attending - I look forward to meeting you!!
@manilaeclair Thank you! Congrats to you as well. I will be sending in my deposit shortly. Back in September I met with someone to learn more about the program and they informed me about the on campus housing. I managed to stop by it as well. However it's first come first serve. It's more of a sorority/frat house look. Looked relatively small about a 5 minute walk down the street from campus. It's a house with a common space a kitchen and such and has multiple rooms for the students. Not too sure what the inside looked like but I am sure I will be apartment hunting as well.
Congrats, Renzwi & Mango91! Sounds like more than a few of us will be apt hunting this summer :) I *think* I read on Concordia's website that housing for the fall & spring semesters started at $10,000, but I believe that was the rate for double occupancy regular undergrad housing. Since the the nursing program runs through the summer and is not a traditional dorm, it is probably priced differently. I would imagine somewhere over $10k is probably in the ballpark, though.
@concordiaCSNA. Thank you for taking your time out to help us new students out! I have a few basic questions.
In terms of financial aid when will be hearing anything in order to plan accordingly. I live about an hour away from the school and am going to be moving closer or on campus if I am lucky enough to have gotten a spot. Do you know any apartments or areas that would be best to live in?. How has the program been for you? was it tough to adjust to such a fast paced program and could you maybe explain one of your daily routines with class schedule and clinicals. Any other helpful information you could think of would be greatly appreciated as well or maybe something no one mentioned that you wish they had.
@concordiaCSNA thanks for reaching out! I too have just been accepted and would love to hear how you are liking the program. Any pros and cons that you have. And as @copelam5280 mentioned if you could give us an example of what a day is like between classes and clinical. Any feedback and advise would be greatly appreciated!

@manilaeclair I got in!. I will be attending Concordia College in the Fall. I am from Long Island so I will most likely be moving into the area. Are you definitely attending, have you heard from any other students?
