Concern about the teas

Published

hello.

im taking my teas test may 1 at 8am. iv been browsing and studying for about a week now.

im planning to fully focus next week (SPRING BREAK) & weeks remaining prior to my test date

im reviewing/ studying with the ati teas booklet

but im still not feeling confident, i feel like im just getting use to the pattern of the test

not the content! so what am i really suppose to know , is there anything i have to know "SPECIFICALLY"?

what topics do i really need to focus? specially for english (vocab) and science .....

suggestions, comments ... anything !!!! help!

I am taking my TEAS test on Apr 18.

I bought a study book from the school I plan to attend. I think you can also buy the same book at www.atitesting.com. It was $40 at the school I bought it at.

The lady there told me that science and math are much more important than english and reading, but I plan to study all intensively anyway.

I just started studying mathematics last night and it helps a lot! You can also go to www.atitesting.com and take a practice test, however, I've been told the study guide is much more beneficial than the practice test.

hope this helps!! :D

I actually purchased the TEAS practice tests the week of the test. It was very helpful for me. It showed me not only the format, but gave me the answers as I took the test to explain why the answer I chose was wrong. With that, I was able to review my weak areas, and when I actually took the test I did very well. I think it's all a matter of preference. I was actually bent about spending the money, but now I'm glad I did.

I felt that the math section of the TEAS study guide was SO helpful! It was a great refresher! I thought reading comprehension was pretty basic, and as far as science - if you don't know it now - you won't know it on the test. When I took the practice exams I got 40%-50% on all of them and it got me very nervous! On test day, I would up with an 83.3% on the section (which, fell in the 92nd percentile nationally.) I would definately know the information on the type of rocks (its in the study guide) and know how to do celcius-farenheit conversions.

Again, the math section was most helpful at refreshing my memory - and it really represents the actual test very well. Good luck!

I also find the math section very helpful.

but pls tell me more about the science and reading sections ....

over all would you say that if i study/ review the ati booklet .... i would be in good shape? bec. as of right now i feel like i have to go over my Anatomy, physiology and micro notes ....

I took my TEAS test back in Feb. I only went over things on this website. www.testprepreview.com

Also a review of "simple" math functions.. fractions, multi, percentages et all. If you are a good English grammer student, then the verbal part is not hard. Honestly, for me.. you can't really study the A&P/Micro stuff... so much information for so few questions, ya know? If you have a good general base to go on, you should do well. Try to not "freak"... keep calm and you will be fine! Best of luck!!!

LONG STORY... but for short im takingmy teas april 14 instead of may1st. (just found out yesterday, so that gives me only about 5days) &studying like crazy lol. & took all suggestions into consideration :) ..... just need to go over some spelling issues and chem. how are you doing studywise... feeling confident yet?
