Is anyone able to direct me please, we are in search of a good program for computerized documentation. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks.
Don't know anything about computerized documentation for hospice. But I would like to know more about studying for the certification exam. Are there any materials out there with sample test questions for all the areas covered on the exam?
You can buy the study guide and the Core Curriculum for Hospcie and Palliative Nurses...just type in Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association and click on NBCHPN certificatioin...good luck :) Janie
We use Suncoast at our agency and have been for a couple years. It was rough at first, but now everyone wouldn't go back to paper for anything. The availability of the information so quickly is nice when I'm on call. Since I'm an admission nurse, I'm not in the field seeing patients all day.. so if one of the field staff needs help picking up calls on the weekend it helps me be able to answer questions about current meds and treatments.:)
HAHAHA.. just realized this was an OLD post!
Sorry!
We use PTCT. It isn't bad once you get used to it. It's kind of a headache if you have to use it for any OASIS stuff, but for hospice documentation, I think it works fine.
We also use PTCT for our hospice documentation. It was a little difficult to get used to but I have learned to appreciate it.

Our hospice formerly used HBOC Pathways - now Mckesson - and we all liked it very much. Unfortunately, we were bought by a larger company who put us back on paper.
