I work for a Home Health Care Agency that a month ago gave all of their Nurses in the field a Mandatory Compliance Video to Watch followed by the exam. We were told that if we did not come in by a certain time frame our weekly pay check would be held. I watched the video and took the exam with no problem, however upon going into a Newly assigned case found that some of the Nursing staff was out of compliance..ie: Nursing staff using their own vehicle in which to Transport a client. When I went to report this to the Agency they dismissed this. I was blown away , do they not realize that this is a Major Liability for their Agency...as if there was anything that was to happen to this client that they would be held responsible for this Nurses actions. I would love to get some feedback on this issue.

You referred to the agency in another post. Typically, you will find lip service being paid to compliance, particularly at agencies of this company. Management can not be bothered with such issues. That is one of the reasons why one should think twice before working for them.

It's truly mind-boggling that someone would do that. The nurse who does this risks everything, too.
Just out of curiosity, was it the recruiter/staffer who dismissed your concern, or someone higher up the food chain of the office. I found with this agency, not knowing what to say in response to a concern raised by nursing staff didn't prevent them from making something up on the spot. Or perhaps saying, "I'll check on that and get back to you". Yeah, suuuuure you will. . .
