I just took the TEAS a second time and scored a 91.2 %. I attend Ivy Tech Bloomington and I was wondering what range of scores are being accepted in the RN program. What has everybody else been scoring on the TEAS?

Are you just asking about people from your school? You have no replies so I'll share. =) I got a 95.9% here in CA.
From my experience, you'll mostly get replies from people that did pretty well, so it's not a great gage.
You got a great score though.

i'm trying to get in at ivy tech fort wayne and i got a 94% on my teas and i was told that was an excellent score, but the testing people couldn't say what an average score is for the teas test takers... not that they weren't allowed, they just didn't know....
other people that i know have been getting around the 84-92% range

i got a 95% & it said that was in the 99th percentile nationally, so you're probably fine for getting into your program.
my program took about 120 or 130 people off the top of the waiting list & let us all test & accepted anyone with a score of 67% or above. if you didn't pass, they let you retake it one more time before they drop you down to the bottom of the waiting list.

Okay I scored something like a 91.5 and that was supposedly in the 99th percentile, but I am told that competitive scores usually range from mid 70s. I have a friend who scored 85 and she has a 3.6 (3.7) gpa and she was accepted into the same program as I.
Oh I forgot to say that was a really excellent score and that you shouldn't have problems getting into your nursing schools with that score. Great job!! Keep us posted

I see you have already taken the Teas test and got a great score. I must take that test too inorder to get into the lpn program at my school and i was wondering if you can tell me how the reading portion was? What kinds of questions were on it for example were they asking for the main idea, what was the mood of the author, etc? What else is on that reading portion. Please help i have to take the test in 10days. Thanks in advance for your input. Take care and good luck to you.
From what I remember, the reading portion would give you a piece of information (like a sales ad) and ask you questions about it. You had to read through all the info to see what was needed to answer the question. Mostly just seeing if you can read critically and fish out the info you need without getting confused by the info you don't need. Also, because you are being timed, I think they use it to gage if you can scan through and make a decision in a timely fashion.

I go to a very small school, this semester they just started implementing the TEAS. I have not taken the test yet but its a similar situation here, they take the top 12 students, then you take the TEAS if you don't pass with a 67% the first time you have to take it again but they give you a 6 day work shop to get you through it, if you still don't pass you don't get to start the program and they take the alternates.
