Hello all!
I recently saw a job posting for a companion/sitter in a hospital, but it didn't give a description of job responsibilities. Any idea what that might entail? I'm thinking it could be a first foot in the door to the hospital as I'm preparing for nursing school... does your hospital or workplace have this title?
Thanks in advance,

Companion/sitter aka 1:1 is someone who is keeping an eye on a pt who is generally a high elopement, yank out equipment or climb out of bed and fall risk. Or any combination of the above.
You basically sit in or just outside the pt's room & redirect the pt or call for help if needed. Bring a book...
