Community/Public Health Nurse Interview Homework

Hi everyone,

I am currently a senior in the School of Nursing at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. I have an assignment to interview (by phone or in person) a nurse who is currently working as an RN in the area of community health, home care, hospice, public health, or other non-hospital/non-nursing home/non-rehab facility. I am unsure of where to go to find a nurse that would meet this criteria. Does anyone have any suggestions? Or is anyone who meets this criteria willing to allow me to interview them? The interview is a total of 9 questions. I appreciate your help!

Thank you!

Stephanie

Have you tried your local health dept, asked a home health agency, community clinic that's like a sliding scale, or mobile clinics, etc.? I would imagine since you are a senior and have this community health assignment, then you are in the class. Have you tried asking your nurses that you are placed with during your clinical?

I know when I was in community and public health, we had two home health days, I think I ended up with like five health dept days, a few free clinic days. So, when your in clinical, could you kind of work it into the conversation?

I work in public health and would be glad to help. Email me at [email protected]
