Community College RN programs in PA

Published

I am from California. I am going to have my prerequisites finished at the end of this fall semester. I realize the programs here in CA are extremely impacted, so I am also exploring options elsewhere. One of the states I am particularly interested in is Pennsylvania, where I would also complete my bachelors there if I get my RN there. I've heard a lot of good things about the BSN programs there, but I am wondering about the associate's degree programs since that would put me in a little bit less debt. Does anyone have any community college programs that they like?

So far the programs I've looked at I more than exceed the prerequisite requirements, so hopefully I would be able to be admitted.

I got my associates degree from CCAC (Community College of Allegheny County) north campus. It was a great program. IDK about the cost these days but was much less than University for the same if not better education. Then the hospital I worked at was offering a fast track RN to BSN program through Waynesburg University. Which was a tough program because it was Accelerated. Expensive as the rest I believe but so convenient because the classes were literally at my work place. Completed in 13 mons, I think I'm remembering that correctly. This was 10 yrs ago however. I'd think there's even more options today!

Best of luck!!
