Have you contacted the school directly for this information? At my school this info and much more is freely available by calling the Allied Health Counselor.

I agree with DaughterofRuth. Call the school and talk to a nursing advisor. At my CC the information is avaliable through their website by typing nursing into the search engine. Also my school, and I am sure most others, hold nursing information sessions which answer common questions and usually have a Q&A session at the end. In the end your best bet for getting reliable information is to contact the school or do some research on the schools web page. Good luck!

I will add your better off to talk to a real person at school or attend the information workshop, My school has all information online but its incorrect or I should say unrealistic. I read our site and you assume you can easily get in with a 2.5 gpa and that is very false, also they have changed their pre reqs and system of entrence 3 x in the 4 years I have been there, the latest new changes don't go into effect until fall of 07 so they are not on their website you, you only find that info out by going to the work shop, I make it a point now to go every year to keep up with things so I am taking the right courses.

Definately talk to someone in the special admissions/nursing department (if that is what your school has) and ask for specific information. Like another poster said, our information is on the internet, but it's general guidelines and not up to date. Yes, you can have a 2.5 to be "allowed" into the program, but you're up against tons of applicants who have 4.0's or close to it. Who do you think they'll want in their program?
Our school has a point system too. I'm planning on going after the Spring semester to the Nursing seminar to see what is required along with seeing my guidance counselor after every semester too. It helps to keep updated on changes. Our school is also adding two new accellerated programs into the mix, so that should help things.
Good luck.
