Hi!
I'm starting this thread for anyone who is applying to CCBC (Community College of Baltimore County) for the Fall of 2022.
This will be my THIRD and absolutely LAST time applying here. I met with an advisor, got lots of info, and am retaking the TEAS next week.
Feel free to join me here ?

Dosage exams are 20 questions, you need to get 19 right to pass. You get 3 or 4 attempts to get a 95% (fail the test, you reschedule to retake it). You will have a calculator available. You need to memorize unit conversions (ex: one tablespoon is 15ml, one kg is 2.2 lbs, etc. they give you a list to study). When I started the program, dosage was a write in exam. Recently, there was a multiple-choice exam we all took so I am unsure of what format you will get.
Dosage is not school specific and pretty universal so you can Google "nursing dosage practice" and be set. below is an example:
Drug Calculations Practice NCLEX Questions (100+ Items) - Nurseslabs
Lastly, there is a class in brightspace, "dosage calculations for nurses - XXX campus" you may just be able to add and check out before class starts. Hope this helps!
thank you for the heads up!
Do you have to take the dosage exam every semester in order to continue?

In my cohort, the BSNs were not hard to get in to. I think UMD is the most competitive. I know Frostburg was apparently the easiest by far, with many things being literal self-paced busy work. If you want to do ABSN and want the least stress, I would recommend Frostburg.
