Community or Acute APN: Is anyone interested in helping with an assignment?

Published

Hello! My name is Brittney, and I am currently enrolled in the first semester of a FNP Masters program. For an upcoming Biostatistics assignment, we are required to interview any Advanced Practice Nurse working in a community or acute care setting with the following questions:

1. Whatisyourareaofadvancedpracticenursing?

2. Tellmeaboutyourrolesandresponsibilitiesasanadvancedpracticenurse?

3. How doyouusebiostatisticstoinfluenceyourprofessionalpracticeandpatientoutcomes?

Are there any practicing that would be willing to help me with this? I am a firm believer in evidence based practice and think it's truly important to learn how to utilize current research into decision making. Any additional comments/discussion points are appreciated. Thank you!

Part of the purpose of assignments like these is to network. I encourage you to find local advanced practitioners by attending an organization meeting.

Thank you very much for your suggestion. Definitely planning on joining professional association(s) but there is not time to join and attend events in the short time span for this assignment. The focus here is for us to gather information from practicing providers who can shed light on the various ways that current research can be integrated into practice (Biostatistics course- Learning to evaluate and integrate evidence into decision making). The answers are simply data we will use to create a short video. I will keep searching and asking around for a local APN who is willing to help me. Thank you!
