Common cna skills/ test day

Published

What are the most common skills tested on the cna exam?

Where I am from they will always test handwashing and one measurement. They are very strict with these so be sure to know them. The way they did it was the computer gave the instructor a number for each tester and they would flip thier book to whatever page that was and that was the skills you did. It was completely random.

i got hand washing, pulse, and dressing a patient with a weak right arm...i was lucky and got all the easy ones lol...but they also look at your indirect skills like closing the curtain for privacy, introducing yourself to the patient and explaining to them what you are going to do, and making sure you give them the call light when you are done...all in all everything that they have you do is common sense, you just have to make sure you dont get nervous cuz once that happens you blank out...good luck : )

I had the Transfer from bed to chair. bedpan and making an occupied bed on top of the handwashing and the knocking on the door pulling the curtain
