Comfortable shoes for clinicals

Nurses Uniform/Gear

Published

I'm starting my clincals this month and i need some all white leather shoes. I tried on the Danskos which i've heard people swear by, they were kinda tight acroos the foot. I also tried on the klogs. These were more comfortable overall. Im skeptical of which one's to get, because everyone (even the saleslady) swears by danskos. Im not so sure they will stretch enough for me, then i'm stuck with a pair that don't fit. Any suggestions or ideas? I really want to know what people think of the klogs.

image.php?type=T&id=17400Hi. Well, I know that these shoes look so old fashioned. But, let me tell you. I wore them for nursing school way back in the day, and I STILL WEAR THEM. I believe the Navy Nurse Corps wear them. I am in the Army Nurse Corps and I wear these all the time. Of course, I have other shoes/clogs that I switch from time-to-time.

www.clinicshoes.com/ They are expensive, they cost ~$95.00 but they are sooo comfortable. If they made these shoes as Army Boots I would get me a pair!:D

Best of luck to you as you search for the "perfect" pair of nursing shoes.

I'm a big fan of danskos. I used were running shoes and end up getting lower back aches after a 12hr shift. Ever since i started wearing danskos I have not had that problem. My danskos were tight across the foot at first but after about a month they were great. Just wear thin socks until you stretch them out, its worth the wait.
