Has anyone here attended this school for the ADN program? I would like information on it please. The website says that there are three different locations that an accepted student is allowed to take classes (Columbus Tech, West Georgia Tech, and Flint River Tech). If anyone has the skinny on this school, let me know. Thanks so much.:nuke:

I didn't attend the ASN program there but I did go there for a year to take pre-reqs -what would you like to know?
I see that they have classes on three different campuses (Columbus Tech, West Georgia Tech, and Flint River Tech), how many students do they admit to each of these campuses? Is this program a very difficult program? What are the clinical day and times?
Any other students who attend Columbus Tech ADN program? I would love your input on the program.

I have been thinking about taking it, but have not had the chance to get up there and speak to someone. I am sure that there are some hours of work required...it all depends on the school. I was thinking about working and attended nights and maybe doing some online classes if they offer them, but as of now I am trying to just find a job. If you find out anything please let me know. I have been up there a few times, but the person I need to speak with is never there. Thanks

I am currently a student here. The admissions process for the ADN program is new this year- and it is a competitive process. There are pre-requisites which include "intro to microcomputers", english, math, anatomy & physiology I and II, as well as a Compass placement test, and the NLN Pre-RN Entrance Exam. The GPA from these classes and the scores from the placement and entrance exams will give you a "ranking" for entrance into the program. Those with the highest ranking will be admitted into the program first. My advisor said there are usually about 200 applicants with about 80 openings (keep in mind this information is all from the Columbus campus).
As far as the curriculum and the clinicals, I will have to wait to see if I get in to let you know!
I had transfer credits for most of my gen ed classes, and I took Intro to Microcomputers online, and A&P in a hybrid class where we only met once a week and all other coursework was online. I think very highly of this school- and I have attended several collages being an Army wife!
It sounds as though you have been on the website, but perhaps you should dig a little deeper on there as they have a plethura of information all packed on there. You can see exactly what you need to get in, and all the costs and courses involved in the program. Good luck!
Thank you funsize. I have been corresponding with some folks at the school and they told me what I need. It has been helpful. Thank you for the info. I have heard that is very competitive, especially at the Columbus campus. I wish you much luck in the program.
