Hi Chunduh,
I am also planning to apply in Spring 2014. But hearing many mixed opinions about CSCC. Couldn't come to a decision. Some of the former students said that they make program very hard to get through. Some positive reviewers said they wants to train to be a good nurse in future, that's why they are expecting much. If some recent graduates can advice us, that would be great.
I think most nursing programs are really hard. I had a friend that got his BSN at MTSU and he said it was absolutely horrible. The teachers were not helpful or friendly or particularly good at teaching. BUT he got his RN and he's employed and in grad school now. I decided that CSCC is the program that will get me where I need be the fastest, and that works for me.
Hello,
I am a current student (almost done!), who is graduating from CSCC this month! I would highly suggest disregarding anything you hear about CSCC from anyone who hasn't been in the program. I too heard some bad things about the program before it started from people who "heard things." Anyway, it is a phenomenal program! Yes, it is incredibly challenging and it will be a grueling 2 years, but it is so worth it. I was at the Franklin campus and the teachers there are amazing. They are so encouraging and truly want you to succeed. As far as its reputation among hospitals, it has one of the best in middle TN. Also, our NCLEX scores are consistently high (95-98% pass rate).
As far as our clinicals go, we have them at Williamson County Medical Center, Baptist Hospital, NHC (long term care facility), Vanderbilt (only for pediatrics), Southern Hills, and some others.
I can't recommend the program enough. I always really encourage anyone who is thinking about nursing to look into it. Good luck!

Hello! I'm planning on starting the nursing program Spring '14, and getting all of my non-nursing classes out of the way before hand. Anybody else starting soon?
& Does anyone know anything about the clinical locations? I'm hoping we have some at Vandy, etc.
