Columbia CRNA 2021

Published

Hello,

Has anyone applied to Columbia's MS in Nurse Anesthesia program (2021) ?

Specializes in SICU/CEN, CCRN-CMC-CSC.

To those who received an invitation: can you please check if there are slots still available for an interview on 10/29,10/30?
Thank you in advance and good luck!

Yes I was wondering the same thing!

has anyone who didn't receive the first interview invite heard anything? just curious since the second dates are this week - starting to lose hope!

How do we know for sure they are only doing interviews this week? For all we know they could do some next week too. Maybe?! They didn't send out acceptances until late November last year, so who knows. Praying.

I know I wish we knew a little more. Or someone could answer questions for us. I would love to know if all invites have been sent. Then there would be a lot less anxiety about a potential invite. In years past they sent more than one round of invites but this year I don't know how they could tell people 2 days before.

Anyone receive rejection letters yet? Assuming no news is good news, but I hate refreshing my email every 5 minutes through the day ???

I heard from someone that’s in the program that this week is the last week. If you didn’t get anything just move on.  People should get their acceptance letter by nov 4th or 5th.

If thats the case then they will not be getting my $75 application fee next year. I feel like them waiting till the last minute to send out an email is just plain disrespectful to all the applicants that put so much time into the application ??‍♂️

I hear you, it's frustrating. But it's not just Columbia. In my experience (I've applied to a total of 10 schools last year and this year)... most of them wait to send rejection/acceptance emails until after the last set of interviews. And acceptances are usually sent first then the rejections come like a week after. Unless the school does rolling admissions.

IDK, I've been applying 2 years now and have never had this experience with any other school. Many other schools are open to communication and will let students know throughout the process. It is a two way street. But I hear what you’re saying thank you ?
