Columbia Basin College 2018 Nursing

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I figure it is about time to start a thread for all of those who are applying to the 2018 Nursing program at Columbia Basin College so that we can have mental meltdowns together come May while we impatiently await the letter in the mail that will tell us our fates!...

Let the games begin!:nailbiting:

Right!? Lol, it just didn't seem right!

I called the general CBC number and talked to student services. They told me they would find the person for me to to talk to and a person called me back within an hour. At the time all they could do was confirm if they had the application and if the address was correct, but now that the deadline has past I'm sure they could say more.

There is a dirty rumor going around that an E-mail is sent out in April, however I confirmed that the rumor is NOT true, and that it may have stemmed from different programs that work that way, however the NURSING program (as stated on the website) will inform by "snail mail" and not until May...

did anyone apply anywhere else other than CBC?

I applied to WSU. I did not recieve a call back for an interview. :-/

Oh no, I'm sorry! I applied to Walla Walla also and will find out around the same time as CBC

That's ok! I really wasn't expecting an interview but figured it wouldn't hurt to just apply. If i had turned in my better TEAS score, i would have had a much better chance, lol. I turned in a 70.7% O.o

I was/am confident that my index score is high enough for CBC. I did not consider applying for another program. However, it would have been in my best interest to have at least considered other programs. I think that CBC, considering price and reputation, is one of the top programs.

I applied last year and got waitlisted so I figured it would be a good idea to have a backup this year just in case.

I'm pretty confident in your score too jaymzschab!

We are getting closer! The suspense is definitely intense.

What was your score last year Milljen25 and where on the waitlist were you?

Is anybody else as paranoid as I am? I keep double checking things, like the teas test. I took mine at CBC and I know it says that we don't need to worry about getting the results turned in because they will have them there, but I am worried they won't. I took the teas twice and the 2nd time was 2/23 which I think was the last day so I keep thinking what if something went wrong. Does anybody know what day they mail letters?
