Hi.

This is my first post. I'm from California and will be attending DSON in April 08 for the BSN program. I'll be moving back to California after I graduate and was wondering if there are any former DSON students also from California and if you had any problem transfering your RN license to California and also if you had a hard time getting a job?

Hi everyone,

is there anybody here that is planning to start the BSN program at Denver School of Nursing on July 7, 2008? Also, how hard is it to really get accepted? Is there a waiting list or not? I keep hearing different stories. Is anyone out there that currently attends DSN and can give me details about the application process and when you find out if you are accepted or not? I am actually quite anxious and exited and I get worried when I hear that DSN has a long waiting list.... I just can't wait to start! I would appreciate return posts or emails very much..... Thank you.

Did you already make an appointment with the school and have an interview? I'm seriously considering relocating from Los Angeles to Denver to attend DSON but I'm a bit hesistant because I'm not sure how difficult my financial situation will become.

Hey!

I'm applying to DSON for the July 7, 2008 start date. I'm nervous too about the interview process and what they look for. Are you doing the BSN or the ADN program?

Hey Guys!

I'm new to this website and wanted to get some questions answered about DSON! I want to start in the July 7, 2008 BSN program, but am really nervous about the interview. What exactly do they ask? how long did the interview last? Did anyone have their interview with Jeff Johnson? How competitive is the school? Please let me know!

Hi:

Please do not sweat the interview with DSON. There are no trick questions, it mostly consists of telling you about the school and study demands of the program you are interested in, tuition issues, and they will give you a tour of the school. It is not intimidating at all, The people are very hospitable. Relax and enjoy and make sure that the program will fulfill your goals.

KJO615,

Thanks so much for the information. I wasn't sure what they were going to ask or want me to do. Some schools make you do certain things and ask you this and that. How soon do you find out about acceptance? I've already sent in my official transcripts this week, hoping that they get there on time and such. I've been in contact a lot with Jeff Johnson as well about any issues or questions I had about the school. Are you already in the program? How do you like it so far?

Hi:

I got a letter of acceptance within two weeks of my interview. Jeff is a very easy going, easy-to-talk to guy. As long as you meet the grade and prereqs per the web site, your interview will most likely center on tuition information and program work load.

Good Luck - I am just starting (had orientation on the 3rd). So far, looks great!

Good luck with starting school! I hope you enjoy it and hopefully I'll see you around campus!

Dear Lizzie21,

I am applying for the BSN program starting on July 7, 2008. I have to do a few more prereqs that I have to finish in the Spring semester and then should be ready to go. What about you? I am also a bit nervous about the interview but think it will be just fine. As long as you have your prereqs done and can finance the tuition you should be in good shape. I did as much as I could beforehand... got my shots, evaluated financing options, got a few letter of recommendations that I will attach to my application. Not sure if this will help... but I just thought that it can't hurt. Just don't get nervous... I know it's easier said than done.... but as long as you can finance the school and have your prereqs done, you have nothing to worry about...
