Hey All, I am graduating in May 17 from Nursing school. I have signed up to take Kaplan. I am not sure when I should take Kaplan course and study? Should I take Kaplan first then study for 4 wks then take the exam or the other way around? Then when do I sign up to take the Nclex? Any input? Help Please Christina

Yes I took them all online with Edukan which I picked Colby Community College as my school through there its in KS... I think the website is Edukan.org... They have somewhat of lab.. the AP course has a very good interactive lab on a CD that you look at the bones and parts of the body and it has a worksheet booklet that you will have to answer the questions to .. and Micro has a GREAT lab online with a cd as well and you experiment with all the chemicals I LOVE THIS CLASS then you had to go into a lab on campus ( it can be a campus by you just have to talk to an teacher or student teacher) its took me a like 3 hours in one day to look over materials with a lab teacher and do one lab that the teacher ask of you... then you mail it to the teacher.. its an outline of your performance and what you know.. its very easy... As for the test THEY ARE VERY EASY IF YOU STUDY for AP look over the book, notes from teacher and cd from back of book (the test on there are some of the same) .. Mirco is easy.. they are all online you make sure u have your notes, book and outline of chapter in front of you... pay attention to the questions you can find all of them in your book and def your notes .. and you might what to get a study buddy in the classes .. let me know if you have any more questions Your welcome Chrissy

its about a semester long but they also has a class that goes from Oct to Dec.. and summer classes it a great class online .. try to get Dr. Simmons he is a really good teacher... any other questions just email me.. i have taken AP one and two, art class, Micro and some classes online so I can help.....

Thank you for you inputs.. if i was going to put the baby in daycare it would be on base.. either way i would start in aug and the baby would be 4 months old or wait til jan or try and baby will be 9 months old... not sure yet...

Hey All, I am about to move to Colo.. I should be starting nursing school in Aug. at Pikes Peak Community College but not sure.. My husband is in the Army and coming home in mid Aug then moving out there in Sept. I can go out before him I think but we are having a baby in April so not sure on what to do? How are classes set up? For Fundamentals class how many days and hours do you go to clinincals? I have taken all my pre-req and have gotten mostly A and couple B.. I have just taken Patho and gotten a B... I am going to take Math for Clinical this summer at a local community college here... Anyone have any insight or thoughts for me? Thank you Chrissy

No they do not which is GREAT!! they just are like regular transcripts that you take in classroom courses any info you would like on edukan let me know I have taken a great deal of courses there and LOVE IT

ACTUALLY semisweetchick.. thats funny!! well in deed I have finished all my pre-reg I have finished classes that I dont even need for a AS Nursing degree!! I was not asking for any one input on how I should run my life or that chooses to make .. I was simply asking the residents of Colorado their known of any school that had fast track program or any military programs!! Well if you in CO then I guess u don’t know about them... because I found then out from someone who actually wanted to HELP me out in what I ask for help in .. Just so info on schools in that area not what I should or possible should not do... due to my situation... actually if you were a military spouse u would understand and not be the way u are being!!! OO WAIT THAT RIGHT U ID SAY UR SEMI YA RIGHT!! I have a program set for me and I don’t have to wait as long as u would!! Lol well good luck to u in the future!!

Actually why would I want to change my dreams?? I was just looking to see if anyone had any school or any for military spouse or a fast track program.. but I dont think your right in telling me I should change my dreams!! Also saying it will not work out while I am in Colo.. Ill make sure to let you know THAT IT DID WORK OUT IN DEED!! THANK FOR ALL YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT!!!

no its not that i want to be sooo quick about it . it is just that we have moved well i have over a three years .. about 3 times.. the thing is that mu husband is going to iraq this sep til next sep then he is going to colo.. i thought that we would be some where else so i applied other place and they said i am most like in florida school.. but i am afaid it will not transfer.. so i ask pikes in colo spring and they are not sure yet the adviors is not there til aug which is ok. I am just trying to get on the waitless if there is one and finish by the time we need to move again.. i am in ct now but i can go to fort carson before like this fall term if i was to get into school or anytime.. it is very hard to try to finish or get into a program by it is time to move again.. i am not sure would it be meanless?? I just dont have a clue honestly.. i am also trying to keep myself busy by going to school and i know i will be in nursing school.. i dont need to take anymore class so all i have left is nursing classes... thank u i apprieate the help

But i am going to be traveling all over the world with my husband and want to know if i will be able work in other states if they are not nationally accredited?? Hello Ladies and Gent, I am looking to take a Accel program for mine RN degree.. my husband is in the army .. active and just found out he is going back to iraq for 15 months.. i have been moving around with him like crazy and cant seem to get established to start a program or cant get in off the waiting list to finish in enough time before we move again.. i am going to be moving to danielson,ct with my husbands family and want to know the fastest way for me to achive my goal to become an RN and not spend that much time away from my husband when he comes back from Iraq.. please HELP!! a fast paced program in Connecticut or Mass would work thanks!!!
