Does anyone know the deadline for applying for a October 2007 start? Is the next start date January 2008? Any help would be greatly appreciated

DSN doesn't have enrollment deadlines per se. You apply for the quarter you want, and if it's full (and you don't make it off the waitlist), you'll be automatically enrolled in the following quarter. At least, that's how it worked when I applied.

Thanks so much for answering my question! Very helpful indeed. When you applied did you have all your pre-reqs done or were they in progress. I'm just wondering if they'll accept my application even though my last pre-req won't be done until the end of the summer. I tried to find the answer on their website but was unsuccessful.

Er..um...I'm not sure. I had some pre-reqs that were being completed that semester. I would e-mail Jeff Johnson (j.johnson@denverschoolofnursing.org) and ask, or call him. He's the director of admissions there.

    first post. hi.

when did they start having a waitlist? and how long is it?
  7. by mbw5680
Since their enrollment is always open, the waitlist is per semester. I was #34 on the list and got in that semester. DSN does not have more than a 3-6 month wait at most, and probably not even that since they're enrolling 4X a year.

    oh, nice. thank you.

also (sorry) do you know when they changed to 4x a year? The last time I checked - which was sometime last year - they were only starting classes twice a year.

    thanks so much!

I think they just started. My class was the first "added" class, and that was in Oct. DSN decided not to have an LPN program, and to focus on the RN and BSN programs instead.

I am interesting in obtaining my degree as fast as I can in colorado.. my husband is in the army and we will be stationed there and i need to get my degree.. I heard of Denver School of Nursing but I also heard that they are not nationally accredited.
I know that they are approved by their state board of nursing. But i am going to be traveling all over the world with my husband and want to if i will be able work in other states if they are not nationally accredited??

This is my first post. I'm from California and will be attending DSON in April 08 for the BSN program. I'll be moving back to California after I graduate and was wondering if there are any former DSON students also from California and if you had any problem transfering your RN license to California and also if you had a hard time getting a job?

    Hi everyone,
is there anybody here that is planning to start the BSN program at Denver School of Nursing on July 7, 2008? Also, how hard is it to really get accepted? Is there a waiting list or not? I keep hearing different stories. Is anyone out there that currently attends DSN and can give me details about the application process and when you find out if you are accepted or not? I am actually quite anxious and exited and I get worried when I hear that DSN has a long waiting list.... I just can't wait to start! I would appreciate return posts or emails very much..... Thank you.

Did you already make an appointment with the school and have an interview? I'm seriously considering relocating from Los Angeles to Denver to attend DSON but I'm a bit hesistant because I'm not sure how difficult my financial situation will become.
