HELP possibly moving to Denver

U.S.A. Colorado

Published

Hi!

I'm in the process of considering to move to Denver and work at University of Colorado Hospital and was wondering if it was at all possible to live close enough to walk/bike to the hospital? How's the public transportation system - pretty reliable? Many thanks

Sincerely,

I mean you can always live wherever you want to. How deep are your pockets though? Transport system here is pretty good for everything I need from it

How about during the winter? Is public transportation a go during those winters times? It's good to hear you can do it all just via public transportation. Do you mind if I ask where you work? Any chance you work at UCH Denver?

U of C Hospital is in a fairly rough area of Aurora. I would not suggest living within close distance of the hospital. However, Denver has a very robust public transit system (RTD, you can look it up and see all their routes). It's incredibly reliable.

RTD is reliable even in snow storms, as long as you budget extra time. The neighborhood around UCH is rapidly gentrifying, I drove by it last week and barely recognized it! You will want to do some research though; Denver/Aurora neighborhoods can change drastically within a few blocks. Everyone has their own comfort zones so it's hard to say if you would feel comfortable.

Many thanks I truly appreciate it!
