    Sorry, but whenever I see bonuses like this, I usually would NOT consider the hospital. First of all, they never pay it right away. You have to be working for them awhile (90 days, maybe longer). And the places that offer them probably have a high turnover rate and a hard time keeping employees. I woould ask myself why they feel the need to offer such a huge bonus. Why don't people want to work there. Don't say the nursing shortage, many places don't offer bonuses like this, they offer better pay and better benefits. Just my 2 cents.

    Hi, Let me clarify some of your points in your message. Half the bonus is paid on the first check after day one the other at 6 months, for a 2 year commitment. This facility came up with this program because they thought it was a good way to get staffed up for a magnet application. I've been with them for over 6 years and I have no commitment to stay, there is a lot of longevity there.
