Im a male nurse in the Kansas City area. I am wanting to move my wife back to Colorado Springs area, and I am wondering of good facilities or hospitals. I also want to know of the pay scale out there, cause we are used to 725.00 for a 3 bedroom 2 bath house, but all Ive seen for rent out there are 950.00 a month plus. Im just trying to figure if there is a pay cut. I would appreciate any help.

No doubt renting in CO is going to be significantly higher than in Kansas......I did know of an lpn who worked in one of the prisons in canon city (not far from COS) and made $23/hr. I applied at memorial hospital earlier this year and as a RN (3yr exp) was only offered $25/hr.

Wow thats not much for the experience you have! How are the benefits though?

I think the benefits are better at memorial. Penrose seems to offer more LPN positions than memorial. Try both of their websites. I hope that helps.:)

There is Penrose and Memorial and I believe that Memorial just opened a new branch on the east side of town. Rent is going to be higher in CO than KS. I am originally from CO and now living in KS. A friend of mine is an LPN at Penrose hospital in the ED and makes about $16 as a tech.
