Collin College Spring 2020 Entrance

Rant 101:

Hey I'm so freaking nervous. I have this weird feeling letters will be sent out by October 1st. I have informed delivery and I literally check it every freaking day to see what's coming in the mail lol. The 2018 thread seem to get get their letters pretty fast. I guess that's why I'm hoping by October 1st we get ours. I seen on the website their incorporating ATI TEAS which I personally think is better because it actually goes off academic skills instead of the psb which shows how fast you can work under pressure lol. I took the TEAS at weatherford college and made an 87 but I don't know what score Collin will want the details are still pending. On the psb I didn't too well but a girl can hope anyway right? Here are my scores for Spring 2020 admission:

VE:54, AR:86, NE:64, AA:70, SP:61, RC:75, INS:77, VAI: 16 (yikes I guess my personality sucks lol)

MICRO-B, AP1-B, AP2 - IN progress

I'm glad I decorated my nursing envelope because the drop off box was soooo impersonal and hopefully I stand out lol

Anyway I would love to hear from other future nursing students who applied this spring and who will be applying this fall!

I am hoping to apply next fall actually. I am in AP2 right now and will take micro next term. Hope you get your acceptance letters fast. I am really excited for you. Good luck.

THANK YOU, I HOPE YOU GET IN AS WELL NEXT FALL!?

hi all!

i applied for spring 2020! i have an A in both A&P1&2 and a B in microbiology. when i took the psb, i developed a migraine and couldn't see very well :( my scores were:

verbal: 76, math: 68, nonverbal: 94 academic aptitude: 83 (this is where my migraine got BAD) spelling: 38 reading: 18 natural sciences: 75 and vocational: 97

i know these are not accurate representations of myself because 2 weeks after this i made a 93 on the HESI.

hopefully my email to ms. rangel explaining the situation worked :( anxiously awaiting my letter....

Hey Laura, sorry to hear that and you are absolutely correct the PSB is by no means of showing one's academic skills I'm glad their getting rid of it. I hope we both get in!!!? What specialty are you looking to get into once you graduate May 2021(speaking it into existence?)?

i hope we both get in too!!!! i already have a BS in biochem & that career path sucked! i want to be an ER nurse then work into careflight!!! you?

Biochem NICE! For me its either psychiatric or postpartum labor and delivery. What made you decide to go the adn route instead of BSN since you already have a bachelor degree. I think my friend said her BSN program is 18 months since she already majored in BS in teaching 4-8th?

money, mostly. RN is way cheaper than BSN — if i go RN>BSN i only pay for one year of school instead of 2-3!

If you haven't checked yet, letters arrived today!
