Collin College RN ADN Fall 2018

Published

Hello everyone!

I am applying to the RN program here at collin for fall 2018 semester. and was hoping to start a new thread for others also applying for Fall 2018. I am currently in AP2 and micro and just took my PSB today! We are still 4 months out and the anticipation is killing me. Curious what other peoples stats are! My PSB ones are below. Some areas I didnt do great in, but I was told the areas I scored 90's in are ones they look at especially! Odd, I would think they would look at Science but was told its not as important of a factor.

AR- 75

NE- 99

AA- 91

SP- 75

RC- 94

INS- 70

VAI- 94

Bio-B

Ap1- B

AP2 & Micro currently taking but on strong road for definite B's, maybe an A in micro!

Good luck everyone! I hope to meet some new people and make some friends!

I'm going to hand deliver all together. Make sure nothing gets lost.

Good luck guys, I also applied for Fall 2018. PSB were all in the high average areas except math :( I have my Associates in Science so i'm hoping that helps. I have A's is AP1 & 2. B in Micro.

For some reason I'm not getting notifications on my email when people post here. I applied May 21st! Send physical copy of sealed transcript along with emailed copy to be sure. Science grades were:

BIO: B

AP1: B

AP2: B

MICRO: A

Was told my PSB looked great too. Fingers crossed. One girl in my class told me she received an email that she was rejected already due to high # of competitors. Anyone else receive an email?!

I'm waiting to hear too!

BIO - A

AP 1 - A

AP 2 - A

Micro - B

My PSB scores were all really good. Lowest one was a 88%. Still haven't heard anything yet but I have been stalking my email inbox like crazy. Even though they said that decisions shouldn't go out until 4-6 weeks after the deadline. I check my email multiple times a day. And keep freaking out thinking maybe I didn't write something correctly on my application or I didn't get something in my application that needed to be in there.

Good luck to everyone waiting!!

Your grades are great!! I was nervous about having 3 B's but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. I'm hoping no email right now means good news lol!!

The only thing that could get in the way is my AP1 retake. But I talked to Ms. Rangel about it and she said it probably wouldn't get in the way too much because I only retook it once and had a large grade jump rather than just retaking a B to get an A or retaking it multiple times to get a better grade.

Either way I don't think there is much I can do to make myself look like a better applicant so it's out of my hands! I just HATE the waiting!!

Last year they received letters in the mail on June 21st per old discussion boards I found if that helps at all. Are they sending emails this year instead? Does anyone know?

I haven't received any kind of email for anything. í ½í¸©í ½í¸¬

Man, I didn't know they did letters. For some reason I remembered hearing something about e-mail. Now I have more things to stalk.

Traditionally they have always mailed it, but i heard they may email this year. Still would be sure to check both. As I said earlier, my friend already received a rejection in email!!

I would much rather receive an email to that would be amazing!

What were your friend's stats for her to already received a "no"? She must not have met all the requirements.

Not sure, she didn't share and I didn't want to ask. She met requirements, the email said she was rejected due to high # of competition
