Collin College ADN Spring 2023

Hello hello! Wanted to start the thread for people applying to Collin College’s ADN program for Spring 2023. Currently about to start a Summer semester for my final prerequisites, and then I’m on it. Maybe we will be in some of the same classes! Excited to chat! ?

Hi everyone!

I’m applying for Spring 2023 and am taking Micro this fall. I’ve already taken my TEAS, got all my transcripts together and printed off the application from Collin’s website(looks like they already have the Spring 2023 application linked there).

Under the requirements on the application it says that a transcript evaluation is required prior to applying for the program, but if we haven’t completed any prereq’s specific to the ADN program at any other schools other than Collin, do we still have to complete that?

Hello,

No that section is only for students that have taken classes elsewhere outside of Collin. If Collin is the only college you have attended then that does not apply to you.

I’ve attended two previous colleges but didn’t take any nursing prereq’s there. So that’s why I’m a bit unsure.

So yes you would need to submit all transcripts from all colleges attended.

Does Collin college in Plano offer a nursing program? Thank you

From my knowledge, the nursing program is only offered at the Mckinney Campus.

When does the Spring semester 2023 begin for nursing at Collin McKinney campus. I am about to start A and p2 through December, then plan to take Microbiology as a wintermester course. I'm wondering it I can apply for the 2023 fall semester? I plan to take my TEAS exam when I complete A and p2. Any advice?

Hello,

Deadline for Spring 2023 is this month. If you have two out of three prerequisites complete you could apply for this Spring.

I don't. I start a&p2 this month through Dec. I had retake a&p1 otherwise l would have been able to apply for Spring ?

Is anyone taking the TEAS this month? Survived taking Micro and A&P II at the same time this Summer, almost ready to submit everything! ☺️
