I just need to know it is do able lol ! I am going to bust my butt to get good grades in pre reqs but I am still unsure of how they chose new students for the program or is it impossible to get in ?
CSI has always had a strong ASN program and being the only CUNY school on Staten Island (which by extension means serving parts of Brooklyn as well), demand is great.
Recent changes to their admission policy can be found on the program's website but basically (IIRC) they've upped the minimum passing grade for entry to 3.0 in sciences, and the over all pre-nursing sequence as well. It had stood at 2.5 for twenty years or more even though on paper many applicants were already at above that level. Scores are now also required from one of several standard tests (NLN, SAT, etc..), again you can find all this on their website.

It's completely doable if you commit yourself to it.
Here's CSI's Nursing website - College of Staten Island - Department of Nursing
When they choose who they want in the 110 class, they look at GPA of prereqs, overall GPA and NLN predictor - http://www.csi.cuny.edu/nursing/NRselect.pdf
