College of Southern Nevada (CSN) LPN Program

Hey everyone! I submitted my application to Csn's Lpn program in Las Vegas. I wanted to know anyone who did this program when did you start clinicals. Was it the first or second semester and what days? I'm trying to figure out if it's worth working and going to school or working one day or two a week if I get in. Thanks!

Same here! I definitely need to know the dates orientation is so I can call off work and all. As of right now a few us haven't.

Never got the email , however ,I email the nursing department my personal questions. Is there anyone is this discussion that still need to take HHP 123 & 124? Those sections are completed closed for the Summer with no room for waitlisting.

I never gotten an email either. I had to email them for information. The HHP classes are part of the program so it seems they should reserve spots for those accepted in the program. They told me the only information they have right now is orientation is on the 27th and we'll get more details soon, but I'm going to email them again next week to inquire about when we can register for classes LOL. You should definitely ask about the HHP classes though.

I did . The response didn't sound very promising that there is a separate section just for us LOL. I was ask to consider talking BIO 223 & 224 even though there is a prerequisite ( Biol 189)  for those courses and by the time you finish all three it would be Summer of 2026 LOL.

You can take those Biol classes but they don't let you sign up for the next class until your final grade is posted for your current class. It sucks because the Biol classes fill up quick. You're better off signing up for the HHP classes in the Fall just in case, but I'm hoping there is a loophole they'll announce for those who have not taken it.

Thank you for letting us know about orientation! But honestly yeah it's weird the classes filled up when it's a limited program? So you'd think they'd have the spots 😅. Now I'm worried about fall classes normally if it follows the regular CSN schedule we should be registering May/June

I was going to wait till next week but I think I'll email them tomorrow because yes registration for Fall opens next week and if we can register early then I want to. I'll post what I find out. Oh and yes orientation is May 27th at 12pm.

May 27? At 12? At Charleston I'm assuming? I know Charleston and Henderson are the only campuses to doing the program. Thank you so much again. I emailed them yesterday about the registration dates so they may take a couple days to reply they're probably experiencing a high vol atm.
