Hi, there!
Did anyone here get accepted into CSM Fall 2015? Just wanted to get a head start and get some communication going with future classmates, answer each other questions, etc.
Thanks and see you all at orientation! :)
I emailed CSM questions about the immunization requirements. I have two PPD skins tests from fall '14, so I'm not sure how recent they need to be. Are you planning to do the CPR/BLS at CSM?
I'm interested in taking the summer Medical Terminology and Medical Dosage course, but I need to speak with the Counseling department before I can enroll in any classes.

Hi, Alee02.
I'm not sure how recent the TB tests have to be, but I worked in a public school and at UCSF medical center before and both required recent testing (6 months or less) before starting.
I'm doing the CPR course at CSM, the Sunday one. How about you?
I was also planning to take the medical terminology class, and actually enrolled in it (still deciding though). For this one you do not need special access to enroll (no restrictions, anyone can take it).
My friend was #4 on the waiting list, then moved up to #1 and now is accepted. I was #18, then moved to #14 but now I'm unsure, they haven't sent any emails regarding the status of the waitlist yet. Anyone have any updates?
Hello Sharpeapril,
I will be giving up my spot for CSM nursing program sometime this week. So another spot will open up soon. Hope you get in!
I'm going to the CPR training on Saturday.I'm waitlisted on the medical terminology class.
Are you waiting to hear back from other schools? I didn't get into any other schools in the Bay Area, and am waiting to hear back from CSU Bakersfield and CSU San Marcos (ABSN).
Hi! I'm set on attending CSM. I got accepted at Ohlone but declined since I live much in the Peninsula. When do you hear back from the other schools?
Bakersfield is notifying students in July and San Marcos is a rolling admission. I'm planning to stick with CSM unless I get into San Marcos.
I'm registered in the BX because I didn't register early enough to get CX (first choice). I'm also planning to take READ 412 to help speed up my reading.
Are you planning to work during nursing school? I'm working full-time now and am considered whether or not I want to work part-time.
I'm surprised there isn't more people on this thread.

Hi, ALee02.
Yes, I'm surprised there's not many people interested in joining this thread. lol
I chose the EX classes because of the way the schedule was set up, as I plan to work during school too. It's not set in stone yet, but I plan to work 20-24 hours/week to start with. It all depends on where my supervisor accepts that proposal (I work fulltime right now).
Do you live in the area? Or is San Marcos closer to home for you?
