I emailed the nursing dept and they responded this morning saying all admissions for multi-criteria point selection and lottery have concluded. I was a bit frustrated that no notification was sent to those not chosen. They posted on the website that applicants would be emailed with their application points. I see, thank you!
I kind of expected too that they would email that the admissions have concluded, and I kept checking the website if anything changed. But they sent you an email with your points, right?
Angela at the Nursing Dept is super helpful. Just call her
Main Numbers: (415) 457-8811 / (415) 883-2211
and she will be able to let you know how many points you were awarded.
It is my understanding that the passing rate in 2018 and in 2019 as well was 77 points. Those who scored less may still be offered a place in the program if someone did not accept their spot.
For example, I scored 69, was not initially selected, but received a "congratulations... you have been selected..." email today, which I assume means that my lottery number was high enough to "pull me out of the hat", so to speak. They give only 3 days to respond!
Do not lose hope, as someone may pull out at the last moment, and who knows, you may be that lucky person to be offered a spot. Have all your paperwork ready: valid CPR certificate and immunization records with all required immunizations completed.
Keeping my fingers crossed for all of you...
College of Marin selects only one cohort per year, starting classes in August. No lottery, points system.
Santa Rosa Junior College - selects students to start their program in August and January. Lottery only.
There are private schools too, for example Pacific Union College accepts three cohorts per year (quarter semesters). GPA has to be 3.6+ or higher to transfer.
Logistically community colleges might be easier to transfer to. Websites are usually quite self explanatory. It is a lot of information, best of luck!

Did anyone else apply to College of Marin's nursing program this year and did anyone hear back yet? I was wondering because I looked at a forum from last year and it looked like they heard back by the end of March. Thanks everyone!
