College of the Mainland ADN Program

Published

Helpppp! I missed the spring 2016 ADN deadlines for College of the Mainland so I'm planning on applying to the ADN program for Fall 2016. Is there anyone else considering to apply for the fall admissions too? Also, can anyone tell me what courses/things I can do to get ahead since I will have a whole semester to do so? Any information on the program will help. Thanks!

Well the application period ends august 1st. And they don't take the teas or hesi. I know they used to take teas, but the program has changed since then. For acceptance you need your science gpa above 2.8 and you need micro, ap1/2, English, and psych 1. Then the tsi score also your science course grades. Oh and you also get extra points for education as well. Like masters, bachelor's, associates.

hello! they take into consideration if you already have a degree, your science points, TSI score & GPA. In previous years I got extra points for pharm & patho but now they don't give you points for those ( I believe) it's only the classes they have listed on Pre-req's. A competitive score would be like Tprofitt, I believe they said more ppl accepted have @ 440-450, can't quite remember. I would suggest you go ahead and apply! I am not aware of the applicant size for that class, but do it anyway, the highest score you can get on the TSI is 390 so anything close to that is Awesome!

Great, hopefully we both do!! My total score was a 426, as I'm missing microbiology but will be taking it in the fall. I hope missing that 15-20 points doesn't hurt me too much.

---Did they tell you to do your Fast Pass Background already? It's a new fingerprinting system they do

No, I think the background check is all done after they actually accept you.

Hi there! I'm sorry to hear that.. but yes ur right God must have a plan for us all.. I just found out about COM and applied to the spring program today. I hope we all get some good news. :) I'm new to this lol!

Does anyone know how many applicants they're accepting and how many applied for the spring?

Hello, I had applied for the fall 2015 but no luck. And my scores are not that high so hopefully l get a chance for the spring

I was also told that last semester the lowest score for their scoring system that was accepted for the fall 2015 semester was a 406. So if you have above that then there is always a chance to get in. Just stating that for anyone that was curious

Hello I'm new to the group. I'm also a returning student. I withdrew spring 2015 not because of failing but health issues. I've to applied for spring 2016 after dealing with that terrible new application system for fall 2015 I was unsure if I wanted to return. However, I wish all that applied the best of luck.
