College of the Mainland ADN Program

Helpppp! I missed the spring 2016 ADN deadlines for College of the Mainland so I'm planning on applying to the ADN program for Fall 2016. Is there anyone else considering to apply for the fall admissions too? Also, can anyone tell me what courses/things I can do to get ahead since I will have a whole semester to do so? Any information on the program will help. Thanks!

Just received an email that I have been placed on the alternate admission list. I'm grateful for that, just have to wait a little longer to see what happens next.

I was not selected for the spring.. it's okay I know God has a plan for those who didn't make it in.. remember God never shuts a door without opening another.. I'm still waiting from from another nursing program.. gotta keep positive ♡

I too got denied and it said the same thing but I don't know why if i do have higher than that and I had applied to fall 2016 and when I got denied it didn't say anything that I was missing. I called and they said to talk to my advisor because he will be the only one that can see what i was missing so i went ahead and emailed him. I'm so devastated :( my friend got accepted and she was still missing one pre req. And I got everything done and I didn't. Now I'm holding on to hope from Alvin community college because that's the only other one I applied to.

Vanessa don't be upset, I would still definitely go up to the school and talk with the advisor just to ensure that they did not make a mistake. It well be hard emailing on getting them on the phone (as I'm sure you know) So go up there ASAP. Even if that won't change the status, that person can be accountable if a mistake was the reason for your denial. Have faith that Alvin will come through, I have been turned down from nursing school and was even unsuccessful in a program but I'm still pushing! tenacity and faith get's you a long way, don't give up YOU WILL MAKE IT!

Vanessa0710 please don't be devastated. I know that's easier said than done, but try not to let it get you down. I was denied for a program last year after applying only to that one school and my feelings were hurt, but I just had to push through it. Everything will work out for you in its own time. We will just have faith that ACC will send your acceptance!

Thank you guys and I will keep my head up high and have hope and faith that Alvin will push through. I just feel like I am falling way behind and I wont never get my career started. Congratulations though to the ones that did get in and hope for the best for all of you!

I got a denial email but I don't get why. It says my gpa was below 2.8 ( which it isn't) and also that I may be.missing admission criteria. But I went in person and asked specifically if I turned in everything. Oh well I guess. Good luck to all.

@Tprofitt I had a similar situation last application period but it didn't tell me why I got denied but it comes out my TSI score wasn't put in so I would call to I get a definite answer

Hey congrats to everyone!! I finally got my email I made the alternates list there's six alternates that accepted as of now. Does anyone knows how many slots have been filled for full accepts. I'm just trying to figure my changes as an alternate. Thank you all goodluck
