College of the desert fall 2019

Hi everyone, did anyone here apply at college of the desert for the fall?

Hey guys, I am an outgoing RN student graduating on Friday from COD. I want to sell my textbooks since i don't need them anymore. I have all the textbooks that come in the bundle to get for the start of the program. The bundle at the bookstore is somewhere between $900-$1000. Id be happy to sell mine discounted if you're interested! The books are in really good condition. If not, good luck in the program guys! @Nnaatts @ASierra15 @ahs2rn @Anniee427

Hi! Congratulations!

I don’t start until the Spring but if you don’t sell them by the end of the year, I am interested. Hopefully they will be the same books that we will be required then.

If you don’t mind, can you tell us how the nursing program was at COD?

Hey you guys, I got in for Fall of 2019. I am not from the area. Do you guys know of places to live around there? Any bad areas I need to avoid?

Stay away from banning...no offense to anyonr who lives there lol. Are u doing the lvn to rn. Or reg rn program?

Hi! There are apartments literally across the street from the college on Monterey Ave. I’ve never been in them or anything so I can’t really say if it’s “safe”. I would assume it is. Ummm, I don’t know what your budget is, but there are apartments in palm desert that range from like 1000-1400 that are good places to live. The Regent is an apartment complex that was newly remodeled.

I would stay clear from Palm Springs and Cathedral City because it’s further away from COD.

Have you tried looking at rooms to rent?

i know that things can get pricey out here ?

Dude, I know! Its so pricey! I live in a 3 bedroom apartment right now and its 1,000 but I pay 400. I was trying to find roommate but I cant even see anything on facebook like a group. Do you live in that area? Are you starting in Fall?

It’s pretty crazy, I know ?.

I live in palm desert! And yes I’m starting in fall!!!! Can’t wait!!!

I don’t really know of groups on FB to find a place. ??? I wish I could help more.

Palm Springs and cathedral city are a little cheaper (I think), just remember the drive will be a little farther. Not incredibly far by any means tho!
