  1. Hey all!! I am currently an N3 student at COD. I just wanted to pop on here and wish you all luck! I remember being so anxious waiting for the acceptance/denial email! Y’all got this! Anyways, I know this coming semester will be quite different then most (because we may not be able to enter campus), but I wanted to give you guys a heads up on black pants for the lab/community uniform. You will need black pants (not yoga pants, not leggings, and not ripped up jeans) to wear with your khaki top. While at Costco yesterday I ran across black stretch pants for $4.97 !! ITS A STEAL! I bought my black pants from there when I started and they are the most comfortable! Just make sure they are not too tight (unprofessional, like leggings). Just wanted to give you guys a heads up! I know the upfront expenses can be a bit much for some people. I would say 2 pairs is enough! At least to start with! I also have PDF of most of the books, if PDFs are your thing! I def think it makes it easier to search for stuff! Anyways, I hope y’all hear back soon! Good luck! -Aimee N3, SNA Secretary
  2. It’s pretty crazy, I know ?. I live in palm desert! And yes I’m starting in fall!!!! Can’t wait!!! I don’t really know of groups on FB to find a place. ??? I wish I could help more. Palm Springs and cathedral city are a little cheaper (I think), just remember the drive will be a little farther. Not incredibly far by any means tho!
  3. Hi! There are apartments literally across the street from the college on Monterey Ave. I’ve never been in them or anything so I can’t really say if it’s “safe”. I would assume it is. Ummm, I don’t know what your budget is, but there are apartments in palm desert that range from like 1000-1400 that are good places to live. The Regent is an apartment complex that was newly remodeled. I would stay clear from Palm Springs and Cathedral City because it’s further away from COD. Have you tried looking at rooms to rent? i know that things can get pricey out here ?
  4. Oh my!!! I am interested!! Do you need them to study for your NCLEX at all??? For some reason, I can’t send private messages ? if you can, message me!
  5. I GOT IN TOO!!! Omg I’m so excited for this next chapter! And soo excited to meet you all!!!!
  6. I’m a big ball of anxiety! Thank you for calling! ?
  7. Nothing here ? The anticipation is making me crazy!! ?
  8. I attached a letter from the doctor I worked with and a printout of my teas score when I turned in the application. ? I hope we hear from them on Monday! ?
  9. I haven’t been in contact with anyone about the status or verification of my app. Are we allowed to do that? I think I had read somewhere that they won’t give you any of that info.
  10. Nice!!! I also have a bachelors degree in another field! I was looking at accelerated programs but they are require commuting or moving and I just didn’t want to do that right now since I have a 1 yr old. I really enjoyed all my years at COD and ultimately decided that it would be the best option for me! ?
  11. ?????? I hope they send emails out soon! I’m going to be like a psycho refreshing my emails! ?
  12. When I talked to the nursing counselor, she stated that for fall term last year the cut off was 74. So at least we are all above that. ?
  13. If I did mine correctly, I have a 77. So we are all in the same range!! Hopefully we will be classmates!
  14. That definitely sounds better than waiting 3 weeks! But, by letters does he mean through the mail? I thought I had read they communicate through email with everything. Regardless, I can’t wait! The anticipation is killin’ me!
