Hello
i just applied to COC RN program for spring 2017 and am seeing if anyone else has also! I have also applied for moorpark and thinking about applying to Glendale as well. Should I be studying for the TEAS? I don't have a high GPA in bio (all Cs...) do I even have a chance of being accepted??
thanks for any replies
I got a Littman classic III. I could hear my kids heartbeats and they could hear each others lol. I was the alternate for a week last semester. When I was in the skills lab the clinical instructor said to turn the stethoscope around. I was wearing it backward and couldn't hear anything. if you can't hear make sure to try it the other way. You can actually tap on the diaphragm (I think that is what it is called) and you can hear the tapping so you know to flip it around or not. I got mine off Amazon. I was looking at another that was $68 but decided to spend a little more and get the better rated classic III and it came in purple too! I think our stethoscope is a good investment so get the best you can. Also got the scissors and penlight from Amazon.
I bought one and returned it because I could not hear anything. Which one did you get?

just curious... I'm a bit indicisive about whether or not I should slurge on one. The letter said not to, but then again we will be using it for a while it minus well be a good one, right?
The stethoscope I purchased was part of a blood pressure checking kit. It was on Amazon for approximately $20. It was cheap but had good reviews. When I couldn't hear anything from it, I checked the negative reviews and people complained about the same thing I did. It's the Dixie EMS kit.

And yes, I started the reading tonight. They are some meaty chapters! I am trying to focus on the objectives and not get too caught up in the details. If that is going to be a typical reading assignment (or maybe more) I am going to struggle to keep up!
