College of the Canyons Fall 2013 (COC)

Just wondering who else out there is waiting to hear about their status about Fall 2013 at COC?

I'm excited, but trying to find other things to become interested in because I'm not sure if I will be accepted. When I went to college twenty years ago, I never wanted to be a nurse, and my GPA reflects that!

This is for those of you who will be starting the RN program at COC in the fall. I was wondering if any of you guys are looking for roommates or know of any apartments/rooms for rent? I'm moving from the Bay Area and have been accepted at COC so I'm currently on a hunt for a place to stay for the next 2 years for nursing school. I look forward to hearing from you guys! :)

I just wanted to ask what is the first thing you need in order to get into the COC nursing program?

LOL, well, I got that "email" from COC today that as one of the next two alternates on the list, I have been invited to sit in on classes for the first week and wait for someone to not show up.

This is crazy.

I'm moving to Mojave next week, and "if" I even get a spot in the fall class, I will have a 152 mile round trip commute every day!

I just KNEW that if I moved my name would come up!

Funny! I'm the "other" alternate that will be sitting in on the first week of class.

I just got the call 15 minutes ago. I'm in...and start at noon TODAY.

Congrats!!! How exciting!! Did you get the call this morning?

I'm so confused. I thought I'd see you in my class today at 2:45 but it was a different alternate. I never heard I was in but I found out there are 4 of us alternates - 2 in each class. Could it be someone else?

I was originally told to show up for the 2:00 class, but when they called me today to tell me that I was "in", I was told to show up for the 12:00 NOON class! I had three hours notice!

Congrats to you guys! I am in third semester at COC and I love love love it! First semester is very stressful because everything is so new but the 1st semester instructors are super nice people so its just the work that makes in stressful not the instructors. Later... its both :) @heylove, I hope you made it to your first class... which teacher did you get tall or short?

Do you know when class goes from 5 days a week to 4 in the first semester? Or is it 5 days a week the whole semester?
