College of the Canyons (COC) ADN Spring 2024

Hey Everyone! Just thought I'd make a thread for COC's Spring 2024 ADN applicants. This is my third time applying and applications open up tomorrow, August 1. I will also be applying to other schools like Pasadena City College, Pierce College, Antelope Valley College, and Butte College. I wish everyone the best of luck! 

I fully read the email but I'm still paranoid...After we send in the TEAS score from the website we don't need to notify them that we sent it right?

I received a denial email. They said that I never sent my military transcripts to them. I emailed back with proof that I not only sent the transcripts, but I provided the date/time it was viewed by them and the name of the downloader (the JST system shows this). Wish me luck in getting the denial reversed!

That's so dumb- I got two denials from them saying that they never received transcripts, I sent them proof of them receiving it and they said they would review- then came back and just told me to reapply.... Hoping you have better luck! I don't mean to be a downer but their transcript organization is garbage.. next time walk in all transcripts then they can't deny it

Thanks for the information, I already assumed they would push back or still deny anyways. But figured I would submit the information and give it a shot!

Hello future nursing students! For those of you that got emails invited to take the TEAS what is the date for you to take it at the school?  It doesn't seem like we have long to study after finding out eligible?

@cheesey99 what was your TEAS score if you don't mind me asking? I took the TEAS exam today at school and got a score of 83%.

88 or 89 I'm totally blanking and I've been denied before with over 3.5 GPA, bachelors and masters. COC is wacky. Hoping this time is the charm!

That must be upsetting for you, considering you have a high GPA and high TEAS score, and 2 degrees. Don't be discouraged. Keep pushing forward, and I believe you'll achieve your goal of becoming a nurse. You've got this!

Nope, they doubled down and said that it was still too late for consideration. Oh well
