College of the Canyons ADN Spring 2022

Published

Hi everyone! I believe this is the first thread for the Summer 2021 Application Term for Spring 2022 for the COC ADN Program. Please go ahead and share your background, progress with the application, as well as stats so we could all be more informed of where we stand. Additionally, if you have any questions or need clarifications, go ahead and shoot! :)

I think the TEAS score needs to be within one year but I am not 100% sure. Call them to ask about it.

I also got the same email about the TEAS. But I submitted my TEAS score also and it’s still within 1 year. I’ll wait for the next email and see what it says before I send in my TEAS score again

My TEAS score was from last October 25th!

Hello all,

I'm here playing the waiting game too. I received an email last night that I qualify to take the TEAS but I already took it 4 months ago.  Congrats to the ones eligible to be selected!

Hi, so I received an email saying my application was incomplete because it was missing my AP Score transcript. That I took over 5 years ago! Ugh. I sent in a from to get them sent from the archives but I’m being told COC never received them any advice on what I can do?

I’m so sorry that happened.. COC is pretty clear on their website that it is the student’s responsibility to make sure the school has received the necessary documents. Sending them alone isn’t enough to guarantee that you’re covered on your end. My advice is to call the admission’s dept during the next application cycle to clarify what documents they have received and follow through with what they havent. However you can still try to reach out to them and maybe they can be lenient. But at the same time, it’s understandable if they are not.

The same thing happened to someone I work with and they gave him until Wednesday to get it resolved. Call the nursing department and see what you need to do to get it resolved.

I asked how many people are eligible for selection and how many applied and this was the response… 776 applicants! ? I think they normally receive 400-500

Did you guys get the email update? I honestly thought the exam would be proctored online but I guess we’re taking it in-person! ? Might even meet some of you guys.

I called in about the ATI TEAS exam. If you have taken it since they updated the exam back in 2016, you HAVE to use that score. They said they sometimes don’t double check your application or overlook the TEAS transcript. They are going off of first attempt no matter what. I’m bummed because I only got an 80 on my first attempt ? Fingers crossed I still somehow make it in!

You have to submit your transcript! They are only taking first attempt scores.

The bright side is that if you don’t make it in this cycle, the new TEAS is coming out in June 2022 so you get another chance to have a clean slate ?
