Could you be a little more specific of what you are looking for??? Our nursing program has like a 52 page book on what is expected of the student in all aspects.

code of ethics is something for the good welfare of the patients. there is no room for mistakes. but if it happens it is enough to be done only once for the health and security of the patient.

we are special persons, and doing responsibilities is our outmost care..

some common tasks:

assist with patient assesment

check and record vital signs

measure height and weight

collect specimens

assist in meeting nutritional needs

pass food trays

feeding patients

providing fresh water

assist with patients with mobility

turn and position

provide exercises

assist in ambulation

assist with personal hygiene

bathe patient

oral hygiene

dressing and grooming

assist with promotion of safety

environmental safety

nurses and soon to be nurses need to care for themselves also for them to be able to do their task accordingly.these things are important for the proper care and nourishment of ourselves and for the good welfare of the patients as well.

proper care

dress neatly on the job

good personal hygiene ( hair and shower )

nails must be short and clean (clear)

balanced diet

7-9 hours of sleep

clean clothes everyday

no jewelry that are dangling (big)

name badge

wrist watch ( for assessing..pulse..)

pen and pad paper for note-taking

how you look.. well groomed..

total mental and emotional exhaustion (rest and relaxation)

nurses and soon to be nurses and the people out there need stress reducers to be able to cope up properly due to stress and to have a healthy social environment and well-physical, emotional, mental, spiritual growth.

talk with the supervisor

get physical exercise (30 minutes daytime)

mental exercise

devote time to your hobbies

use humor

talk with friends

read and meditate

listen to music

avois stressful situations

use community resources
