Not sure where to post this, but I am sure someone here will know the answer to this.. this is in California, dunno if it makes a difference or not. I have a friend that quit his job and took another that doesn't offer health insurance, is eligible to get insurance through COBRA or does he have to be terminated to do so? Thanks :) Wendy
dianacs 431 Posts Jun 23, 2002 Not in California, but I have gotten health insurance through COBRA after voluntarily leaving a couple of jobs. Your friend should talk to the HR person at his former job and he/she should be able to set it up for him if he is indeed eligible.
