I have a test scheduled with Colorado DOC in 2 weeks. I have been working at a larger county jail for 2 years, but I have no idea what this test will consist of, does anyone else have some ideas of what I should be thinking about when I go in? Thanks.

Hello schmoltz! I am actually in the same boat as you. I'm scheduled to take the exam in two weeks, too. :) The test is supposed to consist of a "training and experience evaluation." I'll be calling the HR Dept. Monday morning to see if I can get some more details. I'll keep you posted!
Great! Thanks! So will you be testing at the traning academy in Canon City too?
Yes, I'll be testing at the training academy---very long drive from where I'm at right now!
I spoke briefly with a Human Resources personnel and she said that the exam will test us over our knowledge of the Nurse I position. She also said it was "nothing major" because I asked if any preparation (like studying anything) would be necessary. Oh, and she mentioned it would be multiple choice. :) I hope this helps!
Hellonur5e- It does help so much, thank you for sharing! They should know better than to schedule a nurse for an exam and not tell them anything about it!:) I've got a long drive too, about 3.5 to 4 hours if I remember right, been a while since I've been to Canon.
