I had the same problem re communication - when I finally did get connected to a ranking person (dir of admissions or similar position) I decided not to apply lol. very smug condescending arrogant. example, I asked about whether some of my pre-reqs met their humanities requirement and was told (paraphrased) "expand your thinking; humanities...don't you know what humanities includes..." . well actually she should expand her thinking, because based on researching different programs, "humanities" means different things to different schools; which was the reason for my question.

eh pass thank you. If thats the attitude you get pre-sale so to speak, imagine after the check clears

hello mzamerykah,

can you provide some insight on the whole application process as well as the intensity of the program? i called again today and spoke with someone and currently i am missing two prereqs...sociology and nutrition and she states that i HAVE to take them prior to being admitted into the program...just wanted to hear some insight from someone in the program...

thanks!

Hi Trouble,

I think they changed the admissions process after I started at the school and I am not sure what they are asking for these days. You should be able to take those prereqs at a local community college or perhaps look into Excelsior online courses. Again, I think the process is different from when I applied, so I am not sure what they would accept. Also, I believe the process is different depending on whether you are transferring in or are a second degree student.

As far as the intensity of the program. This is subjective and depends on what else you've got on your plate. If school is all you've got going on, then this program may be relatively easy. There are other posts on this site regarding this school that you should check out prior to applying.

thanks so much for your input, i will search for older threads then!

Hi MzAmerykah,

I am currently a student at long university brooklyn campus , and I was thinking about transferring to CNR in the fall. I wanted to ask you how the clinicals are and where they are located ? I live in the bronx I don't want to go too far for the clinicals'

I'm beginning my last semester in the nursing program at CNR. To be completely honest, I really regret going to CNR. They are the most disorganized, inconsiderate, and pompous organization I have ever been affiliated with. I am almost embarrassed to admit that I go there. The school is a nightmare in so many ways. Your issue with communication there is just the beginning. Please look at other schools before committing to CNR. If you have a list of questions about the application process, clinicals, res life, med math, course selections, or ANYTHING, please feel free to ask me. I've been there for 3 and a half years too long, but at least I can speak honestly about them and give people better insight about the institution. Good luck!

@ hamburgers911 I'd like to know where the clinicals are located and how the professors are at teaching ? Also how good is financial aid? How easy is it to get into the nursing program? also do have to the med math exam every semester? Do you the take hesi or net exam ? Any info would greatly appreciated thanx.
