CNA's in L&D?

Published

Hi! I'm not yet a student..but will be soon and I've got tons of questions! First of all, I plan on getting my CNA certification this summer and work as a CNA while going to school part time doing my gen. eds and getting ready to apply for RN program.

My question is- Do CNA's ever work in L&D or in any other department that would be beneficial to someone who is planning to be an OB nurse and then eventually one day a CNM?

And if so, what kind of duties does a CNA have in this department?

Thanks. :)

Thank you so much!!
