Hello all of you courageous frontliners, I need to ask you guys a question. I was recently fired for violating company policy. My question is does anyone know if it's against any policy that you know of that you can't follow a patient to another facility, visit and run errands for them. Being that they are no longer in your facility.

There’s no law that technically forbids this. Umm I’m not sure about facility to facility. I live in a very small rural area and we are known to check on our patients when they go home because we worry and become close to them. We know not to accept gifts or anything like that but if they need something we are more than happy to do it.

Also can you find their policy and read it and see if there’s anything that prohibits this?
